Scenario to apply auto approval to a change record

Consider a scenario where for an emergency Request For Change (RFC) from an automation system, you want the request to be auto approved without the intervention of the change manager and expedite the change approval process.

In such a scenario, you should configure a process flow so that the auto approvals are in place. To achieve this, you need to customize the state transition so that the RFC transitions from Draft stage to Schedule for Approval. If auto approvals are configured at this stage, the request is auto approved.

You can bypass the change manager's intervention by enabling the Auto Approve rule. For example, you can set Auto Approve rule to Yes for change type Emergency. When a RFC for type Emergency is received, the approval process is bypassed and the RFC is auto approved.
