Data cleanup and archival


Archiving data regularly provides the following benefits:

  • Reduces the size of your production data sets.
  • Improves overall system performance (for example, searches run more quickly, because searches only look at production data, not archived data).
  • Enforces organizational data retention policies

The following table lists the new forms with their specific archival schedule.

An escalation is run everyday at 12:05 A.M. to cleanup the data on this form.

CHG:ChangeOutboundInterface

Data cleanup is dependent upon the archiving policy configured in the BMC Remedy Change Management.

CHG:ChangeInterface_TransactionalInterface

Data cleanup is dependent upon the archiving policy configured in the BMC Remedy Change Management.

TMS:TaskTemplateServiceInterface

An escalation is run everyday at 12:05 A.M. to cleanup the data on this form.

The duration to cleanup the data is configurable and only a system administrator can perform this configuration. For more information, see Configuring data archivingin the BMC Remedy Action Request System 9.1 online documentation.
