Data cleanup and archival
Archiving data regularly provides the following benefits:
- Reduces the size of your production data sets.
- Improves overall system performance (for example, searches run more quickly, because searches only look at production data, not archived data).
- Enforces organizational data retention policies
The following table lists the new forms with their specific archival schedule.
Form name | Data cleanup schedule |
---|---|
CHG:ChangeServiceInterface | An escalation is run everyday at 12:05 A.M. to cleanup the data on this form. |
CHG:ChangeOutboundInterface | Data cleanup is dependent upon the archiving policy configured in the BMC Remedy Change Management. |
CHG:ChangeInterface_TransactionalInterface | Data cleanup is dependent upon the archiving policy configured in the BMC Remedy Change Management. |
TMS:TaskTemplateServiceInterface | An escalation is run everyday at 12:05 A.M. to cleanup the data on this form. |
The duration to cleanup the data is configurable and only a system administrator can perform this configuration. For more information, see Configuring data archivingin the BMC Remedy Action Request System 9.1 online documentation.
