Configuring external database type in BMC Atrium Orchestrator

Use information provided in this topic to configure an external database type other than the one automatically configured by the BMC Change Automation installer. The BMC Change Automation installer automatically configures Derby database to store the incoming data from an automation system and a change management system.

If you are using database other than Derby, you must configure the database type in BMC Atrium Orchestrator. For example, if you are using Oracle 12c database for BMC Change Automation, ensure that you set the value of database type as ORACLE in BMC Atrium Orchestrator.
