Running the SQL update scripts
After upgrading the Application Server, perform the following steps on any computer from which you have access to the database server using the SQL*Plus (in the case of Oracle) or sqlcmd (in the case of Microsoft SQL Server) utility.
To run the SQL update script for the Oracle BLADELOGIC database type
- Navigate to the scripts directory (temporaryDirectory/Remediation/oracle).
- Log on to SQL*Plus as the BLADELOGIC user (or the name you choose for this user during BladeLogic schema creation).
Run the script, as follows:
SQL>start install_hotfix_update_oracle_script.sql
To run the SQL update script for the Microsoft SQL Server BLADELOGIC database type
- Navigate to the directory that contains the upgrade scripts (temporaryDirectory/Remediation/sqlserver).
- Execute the install_hotfix_update_sqlserver_script.bat file with the following input parameters:
install_hotfix_update_sqlserver_script.bat <BLADELOGIC_DBServerName> <BLADELOGIC_DBName> <BLADELOGIC_Username> <BLADELOGIC_Password>
