BMC BladeLogic Server Automation stops provisioning operations on VMs when DST ends

BMC Server Automation 8.1 stops processing provisioning and post provisioning operations on VMs in VMware vCenter when Daylight Savings Time (DST) ends.

Description of problem

The DST changes are not processed correctly by the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) that is spawned by blcoserver.exe. This causes blcoserver.exe to stop processing requests for Live Browse or VM deployment.

This also affects versions 2.1.x of BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management when BMC BladeLogic Server Automation 8.1 is installed.

Workaround

After DST ends, restart the vCenter RSCD agent (WindowsAgent VC) running on the vCenter server.
