The following topics describe the updates included in version 8.1 Service Pack 5:

Creating a smart group of servers

Starting with version 8.1 SP5, you can create a smart group of servers. Based on the existence of components associated with specific component templates, you can specify which servers must be included in the smart group.
 To specify smart groups, perform the following steps:

  1. In the rule editor, add a new rule for server smart groups.
  2. Associate the rule with the TEMPLATES* property.

BMC BladeLogic Atrium Integration

BMC recommends that BMC BladeLogic Atrium Integration version 8.1 SP5 be used with the product combination of BMC BladeLogic Server Automation version 8.1 SP5 and BMC BladeLogic Decision Support for Server Automation version 8.1 SP5.

Warning

When you upgrade BMC BladeLogic Atrium Integration from an earlier version, all customizations are deleted, including Discovery Job and SnapShot Job history, data exchanges, data mappings, and reconciliation rules.
