Future plans for BladeLogic Portal

The long term goal for BladeLogic Portal is to provide a simple, prescriptive, end-user interface where IT operations users can productively manage their day-to-day automation activities across their server, network, and database estates.

As BladeLogic Portal is developed, BMC will deliver new features and functions.  In the near term you can expect the following core BMC Server Automation use cases to be delivered:

  • Physical server provisioning
  • Audits
  • Snapshots

In the longer term, BMC Software plans support for:

  • BMC Network Automation use cases
  • BMC Database Automation use cases
