Deploying and executing NSH scripts

This topic introduces the tasks you must perform when you use the portal to deploy and execute NSH scripts.

Using BMC Server Automation, add an NSH script to the Depot. Optionally, you can create an NSH Script Job that is defined to deploy an NSH script.

Using the portal, create an NSH Script operation based on the job or script created in the previous step. Use targets already defined for the job or identify new targets.

You can only define new targets when the operation is based on an NSH script. You cannot modify targets when the operation is based on an existing NSH Script Job.

Execute the NSH Script operation.
