BladeLogic Portal architecture

The following graphic illustrates the relationship between the components of BladeLogic Portal and the major components of BMC Server Automation and BMC Network Automation systems.

The portal server is an OSGI-based Java application server that supports the basic functionality for BladeLogic Portal.

The DCA Index Server is a full-text search engine that performs all searches for servers throughout BladeLogic Portal's functionality. The DCA Index Server is also used to perform all searches and filtering within the Vulnerability Manager and Threat Director components of BladeLogic Portal.
