Deploying content

This topic introduces the tasks you must perform when you use the portal to deploy content to target servers. Content can include collections of files and configuration settings or installable packages, such as software applications.

Task

Using BMC Server Automation, identify content to be deployed and add it to the Depot. Optionally, you can create a Deploy job to deploy content.

Using the portal, create a Deploy operation based on the job or content created in the previous step. Use targets already defined for the job or identify new targets.

Execute the Deploy operation.
