Troubleshooting the Value Dashboard
The following questions may help you resolve problems using the Value Dashboard:

Why can't I see any output for the Value Dashboard?
- The value dashboard report may have been imported but it could still be running for the first time.

The Value Dashboard was not successfully imported. How can I import it?

My Value Dashboard output does not change.
- View the run history of the report in in BMC BladeLogic Decision Support for Server Automation to determine if the value dashboard report is running.
- Check if the value dashboard report's schedule is enabled.
My Value Dashboard figures for a particular month have changed.
The ETL tool may have inserted some data for that month. This scenario can occur if your ETL run frequency is once or twice a month.
Do I need special permissions to run the Value Dashboard?
The data warehouse user must be granted certain permissions. For details, see Configuring-the-Value-Dashboard.
How do I change the URL of the BMC Decision Support for Server Automation server from https to http?
- Open the file server for BMC Server Automation (typically located at <install_location/NSH/storage>) and find dashboard-1.0.zip.
- Open dashboard-1.0.zip, and then open dashboard/html_constants.properties.
- Change the last line of the file so the URL of the BMC Decision Support for Server Automation server begins with html_value_dashboard_url=http, instead of https.
- Save your change.
- In BMC Server Automation, rerun the BSA Dashboard Job.
What should I do if the Value Dashboard fails to obtain information?
Try the following:
- In BMC Server Automation, confirm that the BMC Decision Support for Server Automation server is specified in the parameters for the BSA Dashboard Script. Open Depot/BMC Maintenance/BSA Dashboard Script and click the Parameters tab at bottom to see the parameters.
- Confirm that connectivity exists with the BMC Decision Support for Server Automation server by opening a command line, launching Network Shell, and running the agentinfo command against the BMC Decision Support for Server Automation server. (Enter agentinfo <bdssa_server>.)
