Preparing jobs and files for the automation of application deployment

To set up and execute an ARA Workflow Job for automated deployment of Java EE applications from your SCM system to the Java EE application server, you must perform the following tasks:

1. For your first application deployment: Prepare an NSH script for retrieving the Java EE application files from the SCM system, as described in Preparing-the-SCM-script.
2. If required by your script: Prepare a text file with a list of the artifact files that you want to copy and deploy, as described in Preparing-an-Artifact-List-file.
3. Prepare the Java EE Application Deploy Job before running the ARA Workflow Job, so that it will be invoked automatically at the end of the workflow. See Preparing-the-Java-EE-Application-Deploy-Job.
4. Create your ARA Workflow Job and associate it with the main project of the ARA Project module. Configure input parameters with all the necessary data for copying and deploying the relevant Java EE application.Schedule job execution. See Creating-an-ARA-Workflow-Job.
