Configuration roadmap
The following table lists the configuration tasks that are required to implement reporting for compliance status and trends.
Task | Products involved | Description and reference |
---|---|---|
Step 1. Download DAR files from EPD site | BMC BladeLogic Decision Support for Server Automation, BMC BladeLogic Decision Support for Network Automation | Before you can install the Service Automation pods, you must download a Service Automation Dashboard Archive (DAR) file for BMC BladeLogic Decision Support for Server Automation or BMC BladeLogic Decision Support for Network Automation. Each DAR file contains pods that display in dashboards and metadata that describes the pods. |
Step 2. Import Service Automation DAR files | BMC Dashboards for Business Service Management | Install the Service Automation pods by importing the Service Automation Dashboard Archive (DAR) files into the BMC Dashboards for BSM product. Each DAR file contains pods. You can import a DAR file for server information, network information, or a combination of server and network information. |
Step 3. Configure Service Automation pods | BMC Dashboards for Business Service Management | After you import the Service Automation DAR file, configure the pods to appear in the executive console of the BMC Dashboards for BSM product. During the configuration process, you determine the information that is displayed in the console for each component and configure the dashboard template. |
