Using intelligent server automation


To use intelligent server automation you need to run a job that creates the BUSINESS_SERVICES property for all servers enrolled in BMC Server Automation and populates each BUSINESS_SERVICES property with the relevant BMC Atrium business service(s) associated with that server.

You might have run this job as part of initial setup and configuration, but it is a good idea to run it again before performing the use case scenarios. This task is described in Populating-the-BUSINESS_SERVICES-property.

Using intelligent server automation: scenarios

After your servers are tagged with the appropriate BUSINESS_SERVICES values, you can organize, report, and analyze them in the context of their business services. The following scenarios provide examples:

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
