Automate Java EE application deployment from an SCM system

The challenges of deploying Java EE applications (described in Manage-Java-EE-applications-and-infrastructure) make this task a good choice for automation through the use of Workflow Jobs (as described in Orchestrate-change-through-Workflow-Jobs). BMC Software has developed a BMC Atrium Orchestrator module, the ARA (Application Release Automation) Project module, based on which you can create ARA Workflow Jobs for the automation of the deployment of Java EE applications from your software configuration management (SCM) system to your application server environment.

The following diagram illustrates the collaboration of the various products and computers and the flow of data between them during the execution of the ARA Workflow Job.
