Enabling BMC BladeLogic Atrium Integration

Enabling the BMC BladeLogic Atrium Integration is a prerequisite for Atrium Import Job, BMC Server Automation to Atrium Customization, and the Publish Product Catalog Job.

In an environment with multiple BMC Server Automation Application Servers, you must repeat the steps for each Application Server.

Note

For the Publish Product Catalog Job and Atrium Import Job in multiple Application Server environments, the following criteria are applicable:

  • If there are multiple Configuration Servers and Job Servers, ensure that the computer on which BMC Remedy AR System server is installed can communicate with all computers on which Configuration Servers and Job Servers are installed.
  • You must also ensure that all computers on which Configuration Servers and Job Servers are installed must have the TCP port free for communication, corresponding to the TCP port used by the BMC Remedy AR System server.

Enabling BMC BladeLogic Atrium Integration

  1. On the BMC Server Automation Application Server command line, run the following command to start the Application Server Administration console:

     blasadmin -a
  2. From the blasadmin prompt, run the following command to enable configuration and synchronization:

     set AppServer EnableAtriumIntegration true

    Note

In an environment with multiple Configuration Servers and Job Servers, you must run this command for all Configuration Servers and Job Servers deployed in the environment.

  3. From the blasadmin prompt, run the following command to make sure the AppServer value is set correctly:

     show AppServer EnableAtriumIntegration
  4. Restart the BMC Server Automation Application Server and the BMC Server Automation console.
