Activating and configuring the Security Incident Handling line of business


The Security Incident Handling line of business is available out of the box in the Draft status. Before a Security case business analyst activates the line of business to start using it, the Security case business analyst must complete the following configurations:

  • Create agents and assign roles
  • Create categories for the line of business
  • Define support groups
  • Select the email profile

Before you begin

Define agents, categories, and support groups for the Security Incident Handling line of business. Learn how you can create line of business specific Foundation data for the line of business:

To activate and configure the Security Incident Handling line of business

  1.  As a security case business analyst, click Settings in BMC Helix Business Workflows.
  2. Select Line of Business > Manage Line of Business.

  3. (Optional) View the agents, categories, and support groups that you've assigned to the Security Incident Handling line of business in Mid Tier.
  4. On the General tab, select the Default email profile to use to send emails.
  5. If you have defined a custom process to send emails, select the Custom process for email profile.

  6. Change the Status of the line of business to Active.
  7. Click Save.
