Saving a report schedule on a disk
You can save a report schedule to the location that an administrator has specified in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform. When you save a report schedule, a report is run at intervals and is automatically saved to the specified location.
If you do not specify a location to save the report schedule, by default, the schedule is saved in the <install_location>\appserver\temp folder.

To save a report schedule, do the following:
- As a reporting user, cross launch to TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.
- On the left navigation pane, go to Browse > Reports.
- Double-click the report whose broadcast you want to save to the disk.
- On the top of the report, click
.
- Click Create New and select Save to Disk schedule.
- Click the icon for the format in which you want the report to be sent as:
- HTML
- PDF—For this option, you can use the Secure PDF checkbox to password-protect your PDF files. You can specify a password yourself, use the one created when exporting the file, or use a default password generated by the system. You can also use the Append Broadcast Date and Append Broadcast Time checkboxes to include the current date and time in the document name.
- DOCX —For this option, you can use the Append Broadcast Date and Append Broadcast Time checkboxes to include the current date and time in the document name.
- XLSX—For this option, you can use the Append Broadcast Date and Append Broadcast Time checkboxes to include the current date and time in the document name.
- If your report contains filters, select the filters in the User Prompts Filters field.

- Select one of the following delivery types:
- Continuous Schedule—The report is always be delivered based on the selected schedule.
Alert-based broadcast—The report is delivered based on the selected schedule, if the results match the alert rules.
Specify a frequency for the report.
- Click Advanced Settings.
- Timezone—Set the delivery timezone.
- Limit Schedule Period—Limit the schedule to run only within a set period.
- Failure Notification—Define an administrator user to be notified if the broadcast schedule fails.
- Click Submit.
