Managing components in TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform


This topic provides information about modifying and deleting a component from TrueSight Smart Reporting. A TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform administrator can modify or delete a component from TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.

Modifying a component in TrueSight Smart Reporting

The component should not be modified to point to a new warehouse database. Use this option only if the host name/IP address or the port number has changed for the same database.

Do the following:

  1. Use the following URL to open the Login page:
    https://<TrueSight Smart Reporting hostname>:<port>/tsr
  2. In the Log in as field, select TrueSight Smart Reporting - Admin.
  3. Enter the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform administrator user name and password, and click Login. The Components page appears.
  4. Click the Edit icon edit_component_icon.png for the component that you want to edit.
  5. In the Edit Component page, modify the values of the component.

    Warning

    Note: Add the correct details

    Do not add details of a new database while modifying the component. Ensure that the changed host name or IP address points to the same warehouse database.

  6. Save the changes.

Deleting a component from TrueSight Smart Reporting

After you delete a component, the component details are automatically deleted from TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform.

A component can be deleted in one of the following scenarios:

  • The component is registered without any errors.
  • The component is in the Registration Error state.
  • The component is in the Initializing state.

Do the following:

  1. Use the following URL to open the Login page:
    https://<TrueSight Smart Reporting hostname>:<port>/tsr
  2. In the Log in as field, select TrueSight Smart Reporting - Admin.
  3. Enter the TrueSight Smart Reporting - Platform administrator user name and password, and click Login. The Components page appears.
  4. Do one of the following:
    1. Click the Delete icon delete_component_icon.png for the component that you want to delete. This button is available when the component is registered without any errors.
    2. If the component is in the Registration Error or the Initializing state, click Force Delete.
