If any other BMC product is installed on the server where you are installing the platform components

This issue may occur because the BMC installer framework stores the BMC product component location in a ~/.bmc_profile file.

If the value for the installer variables is set for any earlier BMC product installation, then those values are not overwritten when installing

installation, the value for AO_WEBSERVER_HOST is probably not set to use FQDN. When installing the CDP or any other components, the installer framework is not able to override the existing value and hence the installation fails and the error message is displayed.

On Windows, perform the following procedure:

  1. Go to AO_HOME and open the PlatformInstalledConfiguration file.
  2. In the configuration file, search for the AO_WEBSERVER_HOST property and modify the value to contain the fully qualified domain name for the host.
  3. Save changes and clear the files in the temp directory.
