Context Browser


The Context Browser manages context items in the

WarningSome content is unavailable due to permissions.

Development Studio application. This window is accessible wherever context items are used.

The Context Browser is launched with the Browse button, located either below a context item entry field or in the top right toolbar of an activity Properties tab, or by double-clicking a table cell in which a context item is expected. Global context items are displayed in the top pane and local context items appear in the bottom pane of the Context Browser.

To create and insert a context item

  1. Double-click an activity displayed on the

  2. In the Input area of the Properties tab, type the information for the input and double-click in the Context field.
  3. In the Context Browser window, click the New button.
  4. In the Create Context Data window, enter the context name.

    Description

    Context Name

    Contains the name of the context item. This name can contain an unlimited number of characters, but no special characters (!@#$,.).

    Time-To-Live

    Specifies the time, in milliseconds, that a context item persists before it expires. This time begins when a context item is called in a process. If Time-To-Live is left blank, the context item will not expire.

    Is Global

    Indicates whether the context item persists within the grid or within the local process. If this box is checked, the context item is global, persisting within the grid.

  5. In the Context Browser window, click Select to use the item that you created.
  6. Click OK to save.
