Troubleshooting the HP Operations Manager adapter


This section lists error messages and problems specific to the TrueSight Orchestration Application Adapter for HP Operations Manager.


Message: AdapterManager: ADAPTER_MANAGER: Unable to initialize adapter

Explanation: The actor adapter is enabled with an incorrect value for a configuration element.

User Response: Verify the values of the actor adapter configuration elements in Configuring the HP Operations Manager actor adapter.


Message: SoapRpcActorAdapter: HPOMMonitor: Error occurred making request

Explanation: The HP Operations Manager monitor adapter is enabled with an incorrect value for a configuration element.

User Response: Verify the values of the actor adapter configuration elements in Configuring the HP Operations Manager monitor adapter.


Message: The service cannot comply with the request due to internal processing errors

Explanation: The HP Operations Manager application is not running.

User Response: Ensure that the HP Operations Manager application is up and running.


Message: CertificateManagement: cacerts file read/write error:/opt/jdk1.6.0_13/jre/lib/security/cacerts (Permission denied)

Explanation: You do not have the permission to update the java cacert file.

User Response: Log on as the administrator and allocate write permissions on the cacerts file. The default location of the cacerts file is: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_16\jre\lib\security.


Message: Error: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Explanation: The java certificate is not installed automatically in the cacerts file.

User Response: Restart the Grid Manager.


Message: The HP Operations Manager application generates errors like "No route can be determined to reach the destination role defined by the WS-Addressing To"

Explanation: Duplicate records have been created in the HP Operations Manager application.

User Response: To resolve this problem:

  • Do not create duplicate records in the HP Operations Manager application.
  • Configure the HP Operations Manager application so that this error is not generated even when duplicate records are created.
