Creating module configuration groups and configuration items
In TrueSight Orchestration, a configuration item is a variable that persists across multiple modules within a grid. You use the module configuration editor in TrueSight Orchestration Development Studio to define its value. When its module is active, you can modify its value in Grid Manager.
The TrueSight Orchestration Grid Manager module configuration editor contains configuration groups, such as BMC_AR_System or HP_ServiceCenter, for specific applications. These configuration groups contain configuration items that you use to integrate with a BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) system and to define how the Operations Actions Management modules use workflows within an ITSM system. Default module configuration items that are installed with each module provide integration with BMC Remedy ITSM and HP ServiceCenter.
Although each Operations Actions Management module contains default configuration items, you can create or change configuration items at any time. The procedures in this topic describe how to use TrueSight Orchestration to create and edit a module configuration item.
