Configuring the Event Orchestration run book
This section describes the configuration process for implementing the Event Orchestration run book in your environment.
Before you begin
Before configuring the run book, ensure that the following conditions are met:
- All required products for the run book are installed and up and running.
For more information, see Installing-the-Event-Orchestration-run-book. - A user account in BMC Remedy ITSM with permissions to create incidents, change, and task is created. For more information, see the BMC Remedy ITSM 9.1online documentation.
- If using a PATROL Agent to monitor servers, ensure that the PATROL Agent is running on the target server and is configured to generate events for the event types that you want to automate by using the run book. You must also ensure that the PATROL events reach the TrueSight Infrastructure Management Server through a main cell, where they are processed and and displayed in the Infrastructure Management operator console or routed to the TrueSight Presentation Server.
