Enhancements in version 20.12.03

This topic briefly describes the changes to the base adapters in the 20.12.03 release:

Changes to the Web Services adapter

The Web Services adapter now uses a connection pooling mechanism when connecting to a remote host. The following elements have been added at the configuration and request level (only JAX-WS requests) to enable and disable connection pooling:

  • <use-connection-pooling>
  • <max-connections>
  • <connection-ttl>

By default, connection pooling is disabled to provide backward compatibility.

Changes to the SSH adapter

The SSH adapter now supports the ability to pass keys dynamically by specifying the <private-key-data> element in the adapter configuration and requests.

Changes to the Telnet adapter

The Telnet adapter can now have a secure connection with an SSL-enabled Telnet server and send encrypted data by using SSL certificates shared by the target server. The <enable-ssl-mode> element has been added at the the adapter configuration and request level to enable a secure connection.

Changes to the base adapter documentation

The base adapter documentation has been changed as follows:

  • A new topic has been added to the Command attributes section to describe the

    attribute.

  • All base adapter requests topics now specify the actions supported by that adapter in BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio. For example, the HTTP adapter requests topic specifies the actions supported by the HTTP adapter in BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio.
  • The home page for the HTTP adapter now contains details about the type of communication supported at target and proxy server levels.
  • The SSH adapter documentation has been updated to contain a Troubleshooting section.
