Dashboard key concepts

A BMC Atrium Orchestrator environment can be a complex system that includes a large number of servers, adapters, and workflows. System administrators need to visualize the architecture and understand how well the components in the environment are performing. They regularly ask the following kinds of questions:

  • Is my BMC Atrium Orchestrator environment properly configured?
  • What is the health of the host servers in the environment and the peers running on them?
  • What version of BMC Atrium Orchestrator are the peers running?
  • What is the architecture of the machines on which the peers are running?
  • What adapters, modules, and components are associated with the peers and what is their state?
  • How many adapter instances are in a fault state and on what peers?
  • How many jobs are running and how many jobs are running for a long time?
  • What modules are active?
  • What components are currently acting as "master" inside the grid?

The BMC Atrium Orchestrator Health Dashboard gathers information about all of the components in your BMC Atrium Orchestrator environment and reports on their health. You can use the dashboard to quickly answer the questions shown above and many others.
