Upgrading silently

You can upgrade BMC Atrium Orchestrator using the silent installation. The upgrade procedure depends on your installed version of BMC Atrium Orchestrator.

Note

This version of BMC Atrium Orchestrator does not support the use of custom realms.

For information about the supported upgrade paths and the order in which you must run the commands to upgrade the platform components, see Preparing-for-upgrade.

You can only upgrade to version 7.7 if you are using version 7.6.02.x. If you are using any previous versions, you must upgrade to version 7.6.02.x before upgrading to version 7.7. If you select a combination of components that is not supported in version 7.7, then the platform component is removed. For example, if you upgrade Access Manager and the repository together, Access Manager is removed and only the repository is upgraded.

Before upgrading, you must install BMC Atrium Single Sign-On first and then upgrade. For more information about BMC Atrium Single Sign-On, see Installing-BMC-Atrium-Single-Sign-On

When upgrading from 7.6.02.x, all options files must specify upgrade_new as the installation type.

For more information about the installation properties in an options file, see Silent-installation-properties.
