This topic contains information about fixes and updates in this service pack, and provides instructions for downloading and installing the service pack.

Enhancements

BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform 7.7 SP1 is certified with BMC Atrium Single Sign-On 8.1 Patch 2.

You must replace the uddi-registry.properties file with a uddi.xml file while using the ORCA Webservice for registering any registry that is compliant with the java-based implementation of the Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration (jUDDI). For details, see UDDI-registry.

The Peer Name and Peer Location fields are unusable and are now removed from the process properties for a module in BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio. 

Before you perform the upgrade

Service Pack 1 for version 7.7 is a full product installation. If you are installing BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform for the first time, install Service Pack 1 for version 7.7 directly.

If you already have BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform installed, Service Pack 1 might be an optional upgrade for you. Consult the following table to determine whether you need to upgrade your BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform environment.

Installing and upgrading the service pack

The BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform 7.7 service pack 1 provides installation programs to install or upgrade the platform components and the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio application. 

  • To install the service pack as a new installation of BMC Atrium Orchestrator, see the installation procedures in the Installing section.
  • To upgrade from version 7.7 to version 7.7.01, see the upgrade procedures in the Upgrading section.  
  • To upgrade from version 7.6.02.x to version 7.7.01, see the upgrade procedures in the  Upgrading section.
