Installing BMC MyIT Service Broker module

This topic describes the installation process to install BMC MyIT Service Broker module.

Before you begin

Before installing the run book:

  • Download the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Content Installer from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) website.
    For more information, see Downloading the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Content installation file.
  • Install BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform components such as the repository and the Configuration Distribution Peer (CDP) and ensure that they are up and running.  
    For installing BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform, see Installing in BMC Atrium Orchestrator Platform documentation.

To install BMC Atrium Orchestrator Content

  1. Navigate to the folder where you have downloaded the installation files and start the installation program.
    1. Windows: setup.cmd
    2. Linux or Solaris: setup.sh
  2. On the Welcome to BMC Atrium Orchestrator panel, review the information and click Next.
  3. On the license agreement panel, select I agree to the terms of the license agreement; then click Next.
  4. On the Directory Selection panel, accept the default location, or click Browse to select a different location; then click Next.

  5. On the Installation Type panel, select Custom feature set, and click Next. 

    Warning

    Do not select BSM Solutions unless you have purchased a BMC solution and have reviewed the applicable documentation for that solution.

  6. On the Repository Communications Settings panel, enter the repository settings, and click Next:
    • Web Server Protocol: Select https
    • Host Name or IP Address: Enter the fully qualified domain name of the repository.
    • Web Server Port Number

    • RepositoryUser: Enter the user name of the account created in BMC Atrium Single Sign-On that you use to log on to the repository.

      Warning

      Do not enter the default BMC Atrium Single Sign-on account amadmin in the RepositoryUser field.

    • Repository Password: Enter the password that matches the specified user account.
  7. On the Adapter Feature Selection panel, select the Web Services adapter and click Next.
  8. On the Module Feature Selection panel, select the following modules and click Next. 
    1. Fulfillment Use Cases
    2. BMC MyIT Service Broker Integration
    3. AutoPilot-AD-Utilities
    4. AutoPilot-OA-Errors
    5. AutoPilot-Common-OA-Utilities

  9. On the Installation preview panel, review the features to be installed, and then click Install.
  10. When the installation finishes, click Done.

You can also install BMC Atrium Orchestrator content silently. For more information about using command-line options, see Using-command-line-options-to-install-BMC-Atrium-Orchestrator-content.

After BMC Atrium Orchestrator Content is successfully installed, you can now configure the required adapters and modules. For more information, see Configuring-BMC-Atrium-Orchestrator-Content.
