Adapter requests and responses for the Command Line adapter

The Command Line adapter does not use an action. The following samples illustrate how special characters are handled in UNIX and Microsoft Windows environments.

Use the adapter request XML when you create a custom process by using the Call Adapter activity in BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio.

Warning

Notes

  • The default working directory for the Command Line adapter is:
    • Windows: Windows\System32
    • Linux or Solaris: $AO_HOME/bin
  • Starting with the 20.12.02 release, the Command Line adapter can also execute a request when the adapter is enabled on a peer that is compliant with the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
