Troubleshooting the NetApp RCU adapter

This section lists error messages and problems specific to the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Application Adapter for NetApp Rapid Cloning Utility (RCU).

Message: Error occurred processing request data Summary: ; nested exception is: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target.

Explanation: This error occurs in the grid logs when the SSL certificate authentication fails or the handshake fails after the authentication.

User Response: Ensure that all the configuration parameters related to SSL certificate authentication are correct. Restart the grid after correcting the SSL certificate authentication parameters.

Message: Error occurred processing request data Summary: WebService does not return any response [500 : Internal Server Error]Error: Exception in resize, bailing out of resizeDatastore. Possible reason: expandVmfsDatastore threw InvalidRequest for TestDatastore

Explanation: This error occurs in the adapter response of the resize-datastore operation when you try to increase the VMFS datastore size while using an earlier version of VMware ESX than version 4.0.

User Response: To grow a VMFS datastore, mount it on an ESX or ESXi version 4.0 host.

Message: Error occurred processing request data Summary: WebService does not return any response [500 : Internal Server Error]Error: Exception in resize, bailing out of resizeDatastore. Possible reason : expandVmfsDatastore threw InvalidRequest for TestDatastore

Explanation: This error occurs in the adapter response of the resize-datastore operation when you try to decrease the VMFS datastore size.
