The Import-Mailbox-operation and the Export-Mailbox-operation support Microsoft Exchange Server versions 2007 and 2010 (RTM only). For later versions, you can use the  New Mailbox Import Request operation and the New Mailbox Export Request operation respectively.

For more information, see the Microsoft-Exchange-adapter

New VMware Infrastructure adapter workflow for retrieving selected cluster configuration properties

A new Retrieve Selected Cluster Configuration Properties operation is added to the Cluster_Operations processes for the VMware Infrastructure adapter. The existing Retrieve Cluster Configuration operation retrieves all path properties of a given cluster, which results in huge amount of data in the adapter response depending on the VMware vCenter configuration. Unable to process a huge response, the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio might stop working. BMC recommends that you use the new operation to retrieve cluster configuration properties that match your specified criteria.

For more information see Retrieve-Selected-Cluster-Configuration-Properties.

Base adapter enhancements

The following enhancements are made to the base adapters in this release.

PowerShell adapter supports specifying special characters in the password

You can now specify special characters such as @, #, $, %, ^, *, {, }, and so on in the <password> element in the PowerShell adapter request.

For more information, see PowerShell-adapter.

PowerShell adapter supports redirecting error streams to the success output streams

A new element, Redirect Error Stream to Success Output Stream is added to the PowerShell adapter configuration, which enables you to redirect the command output error stream to the success output stream. The PowerShell adapter uses the xCMD utility to connect to the Windows System remotely to perform PowerShell commands. Since the xCMD utility only consumes output streams, it fails to process the data written on error streams and the actual output is not processed by the xCMD utility and reports an error. This problem occurs while executing the PowerShell Module cmd-lets version 3.0 and later.

For more information, see Configuring-the-PowerShell-adapter.

Mail adapters support to determine the type of recipient in the email event

As per the current design of adapter event, all the recipients types of TO and CC are added in the <email-address>, element, which does not differentiate the recipient type. A new element <recipient-type> is added to the <email-address> element in the POP and IMAP monitor adapters, which specifies the type of recipient in the email event.

For more information about the POP adapter, see Adapter-event-for-the-POP-adapter. For more information about the IMAP adapter, see Adapter-event-for-the-IMAP-adapter.

SSH, SCP, and SFTP adapters now support BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping 10.2

The SSH, SCP, and SFTP adapters support BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping version 10.2. The underlying Maverick API library is upgraded to version 1.6.12.
