Communicating with an MV-AO cell

To communicate with an MV-AO cell, the adapter's underlying APIs, IMAPI, and IMCOMM API require access to the mcell.dir file.

The mcell.dir file contains the following cell definitions:

  • cell name
  • encryption key
  • host
  • port

Specify the cell details in the mcell.dir in the following format:

cell <cell_name> <encryption_key> <host>:<port>

Example: cell BAOCELL mc host.bmc.com:1899
