SQL monitor adapter

The SQL monitor adapter queries an SQL database at a specified interval. You can create rules that execute specific processes based on the results of the query. You can configure multiple SQL monitor adapters within Grid Manager, each with a unique configuration node and adapter name.

A single SQL monitor adapter can configure multiple target computers. Each target has multiple events or queries associated with it. The adapter checks whether multiple targets are configured while initializing the adapter:

• If all the targets are running, the adapter is in the running state.
  
• If one of the targets is unavailable, the adapter is in a Fault state. The adapter sends events to recover the failed target. The adapter pings the target every three minutes, and after the failed target is up, the adapter goes into the running state.
