Adapter requests and responses for the SNMP actor adapter

The SNMP actor adapter uses a Get or a Notification action, and the SNMP actor adapter requests and responses are action-specific. The samples and the templates for each action are provided in the following topics. You can enter the action indicated in the adapter's Action field in the Property pane of the Call Adapter activity. If an action is not provided for an SNMP actor adapter request, the default action, Get, is assumed.

Note

Starting with the 20.12.02 release, the SNMP adapter supports Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) for sending and receiving SNMP packets. For IPv6 details, see Support for IPv6.

Use the adapter request XML when you create a custom process by using the Call Adapter activity in BMC Atrium Orchestrator Development Studio.
