SNMP adapter

The SNMP base adapter consists of an actor and monitor adapter. The SNMP adapter can use the following base adapter features. For details about these features, see Base adapter features.

Both the actor and monitor adapters support the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).

Prerequisites for IPv6

The SNMP agent and SNMP Manager must be aware of the IPv6 protocol and must be enabled to send and receive IPv6 SNMP packets.
