Troubleshooting the HP Storage Essentials adapter


This section lists error messages and problems specific to the BMC Atrium Orchestrator Application Adapter for HP Storage Essentials.


Message: 'appiqlist' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file OR 'appiqcreate' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file OR 'appiqshow' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

Explanation: This error message appears in the response when an operation is executed and in the grid logs when the BMC Atrium Orchestrator peer is on a computer where HPCLI is not installed and configured.

Resolution: HPCLI must be installed and configured on a computer where the adapter is enabled. See the installation notes specified in Prerequisites before installing the application.


Message: CLI-ERROR: Either Unable to communicate management server (or) Server IP Address/Port Invalid (or) System not on LAN

.

Explanation: This error message appears in the response when an operation is executed and in the grid logs when the HP Storage Essentials application is down.

Resolution: Ensure that the HP Storage Essentials application is up and running.
