Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 adapter

The BMC Atrium Orchestrator actor adapter for Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 uses the Web Services API to execute operations on the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 datastore.

The application adapter for MOM 2005 manipulates the data in the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 datastore. It automates the majority of the processes in Microsoft Operations Manager 2005. The BMC Atrium Orchestrator Application Adapter for MOM 2005 consists of an actor adapter and a monitor adapter. The actor adapter for MOM 2005 provides operations that use the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 SNMP traps to extract data from or manipulate data in the application datastore. The operations in this actor adapter can perform the following tasks:

  • Add infrastructure elements to the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 datastore
  • Delete infrastructure elements from the Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 datastore
  • Retrieve attributes for infrastructure elements
  • Retrieve data about the top-level application classes assigned to selected infrastructure elements
  • Retrieve the raw or summarized history values for selected parameters during specified periods
