Viewing a Transcript Difference Details report

The Transcript Difference Details report displays a side-by-side comparison of two transcripts of the selected device actions.

To view and interpret the Transcript Difference Details report

1. Generate the Transcript Comparison Report and click the View Difference Details icon .
   The example shown in the following figure compares two transcripts in detail.
   
   

2. (Optional) Perform one of the following tasks by using the menu options that are available on the Transcript Difference Details Report page:

   Menu option	Description
   Print View	Print a copy of the report.
   Export	Export the report to one of the following formats: HTML PDF RTF
   Email	Email the report to one or more recipients in one of the export formats.
   Close	Close the report window.
   Help	Display Help.

3. Select one of the following options:
   • Differences Only View (default): Displays only the differences between the transcripts, with a few lines of surrounding context.
   • Full View: Displays all transcript lines side-by-side.

4. Review the legend information as shown in the following table to interpret the results:

   Legend item	Description
   Added (<, >)	Lines that are in one transcript, but not in the other transcript, are shown with a red background. The > or < symbol points to the transcript with the added line(s).
   Changed (!)	Lines that are in both transcripts, but differences are shown with a blue background.
   Skipped Line	Shows when lines are skipped to focus on the differences between the items being compared.
   Section Border	Shows transcript section name.
