EfficientIP
This topics describes the prerequisites and the process for setting up the EfficientIP SOLIDserver as your third-party Internet Protocol Address Management (IPAM) system.
Before you begin
- Ensure that you have SOLIDserver DDI configured in your network.
- Ensure that the TrueSight Orchestration CDP, activity peer (AP), or lightweight activity peer (LAP) are installed on the same host.
Configuring TrueSight Orchestration for SOLIDserver
- Activate the required adapter by performing the following steps:
- Open a web browser session and log into to the TrueSight Orchestration Grid Manager using the following format:
http://<BAO_SERVER>:<WEB_PORT>/baocdp - Add the required adapters to the grid:
- Select Application > Grid Manager.
- Select Manage > Adapters.
- Select the following adapters from the left-hand table, and click Add to Grid:
- ro-adapter-command-line
- ro-adapter-file
- Configure the adapters on the grid:
- Select Manage > Adapters.
- Open the ro-adapter-command-line adapter for configuration (click Configure if configuring for the first time, or click the name of the adapter).
- Enter the adapter name and description in the appropriate fields, and click OK.
- Repeat for the ro-adapter-file adapter.
- Enable the adapters on the grid:
- Select Manage > Peers, and select the peer from the list.
- Click the Edit selected Peer icon, and click Enable.
- Select ro-adapter-command-line and ro-adapter-file from the list and click OK.
- Click OK to save the changes.
- Open a web browser session and log into to the TrueSight Orchestration Grid Manager using the following format:
- Activate the required IPAM modules by performing the following steps:
- Select Manage > Modules.
- Select the following IPAM modules from the left-hand table:
- AO-AD-VitalQIP
- AutoPilot-OA-IP-Address-Management
- BMC-SA-BBNA-IP-Address-Management
- Click Activate.
- Configure the required modules by performing the following steps:
- Configure the AutoPilot-OA-IP-Address-Management module:
- Select Manage > Modules.
- Click the AutoPilot-OA-IP-Address-Management module link in the right-hand table.
- Navigate to Configuration > IP_Address_Management > VitalQIP.
- Provide the following details:
- adapter_name: Same name as used in the ro-adapter-command-line adapter.
- file_adapter_name: Same name as used in the ro-adapter-file adapter.
- organization: As per the VitalQIP setup.
- password: Password of the VitalQIP server.
- temp_folder_path: Temporary file path, for example, C:\temp.
- username: User name for the VitalQIP server.
- Click OK.
- Configure the BMC-SA-BBNA-IP-Address-Management module:
- Select Manage > Modules.
- Click the BMC-SA-BBNA-IP-Address-Management link in the right-hand table.
- Navigate to Configuration > IP_Address_Management, and click Configuration_Name in the configuration tree.
- Specify VitalQIP in the Value field.
- Click OK.
- Configure the AutoPilot-OA-IP-Address-Management module:
