Managing role rights by selected rights

To copy access rights by selected rights, do the following:

  1. Open the Manage Role Rights (By Selected Rights) page by navigating to Admin > User Admin > Roles, and selecting the Manage Rights > By Selected Rights menu option.

  2. To update system rights, go to the System Rights section, navigate the expandable tree of system rights, and select the Grant or Revoke option for the rights you want to modify. You may see inactive or dimmed-out rights, indicating you do not have permission to change that right.
  3. To update network rights, go to the Network Rights section, navigate the expandable tree of network rights, and select the Grant or Revoke option for the rights you want to modify. You may see inactive or dimmed-out rights, indicating you do not have permission to change that right.
  4. In the Apply To Roles field, select one or more roles to which you want to apply your changes. You will be allowed to choose from roles you can edit (when you possess the Allow Rights Promotion right) or roles you belong to that you can edit (when you do not possess that right).
  5. If you are modifying network rights, select one or more realms to which your changes will apply in the Apply Network Rights To Realms field.You will be allowed to choose from realms you have access to.
  6. Click Save to save the changes or Cancel to abandon the changes.
