Viewing the groups listing

Groups belong to a single realm. Realms are only exposed if your site has more than one realm defined. The Groups page shows a list of all static and auto-groups. Through the Group Filter page, you can filter the list of groups based on various group attributes. This topic describes how to view and filter the list of groups.

To view the list of groups

  1. Navigate to Network > Spans > Groups.

In the following figure, several realms have a device group named Contract Begin Date.Date because each realm has devices with Contract Begin Date. Users can only view groups in realms for which they have been granted access.

    Tip

To view additional data for any specific group, click the group name. The displayed dialog box contains group details, as well as various links for actions and reports.

    Note

The groups listing does not include empty auto-groups by default, even if you select the Auto-Group column header. However, you can view these groups when you use a filter and select the Show Empty Auto Groups check box. You can then delete an empty group manually by using this list.
