Viewing the device listing

The list of managed devices on the Devices page enables you to view basic information about each of the listed devices. Through the Device Filter page, you can filter the list of devices based on various device attributes.

To view the list of devices

1. Navigate to Network > Spans > Devices.
   
   
   The list of managed devices is displayed. The list contains various basic details for each device. The list displays only those devices that are in realms for which you have been granted access. Realms are exposed only if your site has more than one realm defined.

   Tip

   To view additional data for any specific device, click the device name. The displayed dialog box contains key inventory data, as well as various links for actions and reports.

2. (Optional) Perform one of the following tasks by using the menu options that are available on the Devices page:
   
   

   Menu option	Description
   Views	Display devices matching a favorite View. See About-lists-and-views and Managing-and-sharing-views.
   Filter	Filter the list of devices based on device attributes.
   Add	Add a new device to the inventory. See Adding-a-device.
   Edit	Edit device parameters for all selected devices. See Editing-devices.
   Delete	Delete all the selected devices from the current page. See Deleting-devices.
   Print View	Print the displayed device list.
   Refresh	Refresh the list to show recent updates (for example, Status of Last Snapshot).
   Help	Display help for the Device page.

3. (Optional) Perform one of the following actions by clicking an icon in the Actions column on the Devices page:

   Icon	Action	Description
   	View	Displays details about the device.
   	Edit	Edits the device. See Editing-devices.
   	Copy	Copies the device.
   	Delete	Deletes the device. See Deleting-devices.

To define a filter for the device listing

1. Select Network > Spans > Devices.
2. Click the Filter menu option above the list of devices.

3. Specify any combination of criteria by which to filter the list of devices. The criteria for filtering are divided into the following categories on separate tabs:
   
   

   The [confluence_table-plus] macro is a standalone macro and it cannot be used inline. Click on this message for details.
   This macro generates standalone content. As a consequence you need to make sure to use a syntax that separates your macro from the content before and after it so that it's on a line by itself. For example in XWiki Syntax 2.0+ this means having 2 newline characters (a.k.a line breaks) separating your macro from the content before and after it.
   

4. Click Submit.
   
   

   Tip

   After applying your filter, you can save the resulting display in the list of devices as a view, as described in About-lists-and-views and Managing-and-sharing-views.
