Adding or editing external links


  1. Open the External Links page by navigating to Admin > Network Admin > External Links.
  2. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To define a new external link, click Add.
    • To view or change an existing external link, select the external link and click Edit Icon_Edit.png.
       The following figure shows a sample external link that you can use to launch the Atrium Explorer application from the device info pop-up window.

  3. Enter or update the information in the following fields:
    • Name: Specify a unique name for the external link.
    • URL: Specify the URL of the external application for the external link.

      Note

      The URL field can optionally include substitution parameters. The substitution parameters are validated and resolved depending on which you select.

      The following types of substitution parameters are valid:

      • Device substitution parameters
      • Agent info substitution parameters
      • Global substitution parameters
    • Enabled (Optional): Select or clear to enable or disable the external link.
    • Validate Substitution Parameters (Optional): Select to validate the substitution parameters in the URL field.
  4. Click Save to save your changes to the external link.

When external links are defined and enabled, they are displayed in an External Links section in the device info pop-up window. To access this window, click the device name in the device list.

The substitution parameters are resolved before the external links are displayed. Any unresolved substitution parameters are displayed as blank values.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
