Viewing a Configuration Difference Details report

The Difference Details report displays a side-by-side comparison of two configurations.

To view and interpret the Configuration Difference Details report

1. Launch a report such as the Configuration Comparison Report and then, click the View Diff Details Report  icon. The example shown in the following figure compares running configurations of two devices.
   
   

2. (Optional): Perform one of the following tasks by using the menu options that are available on the Difference Details Report page:
   
   

   Menu option	Description
   Export	Export the report to one of the following formats: HTML PDF RTF
   Email	Email the report to one or more recipients in one of the export formats.

3. Use the Full View toggle button on top of the page to display one of the following views:
   1. Difference Only View (default): To view only the differences between the files.
   2. Full View: To view all configuration lines, side-by-side.

4. Review the legend information as shown in the following table to interpret the results:

   The [confluence_table-plus] macro is a standalone macro and it cannot be used inline. Click on this message for details.
   This macro generates standalone content. As a consequence you need to make sure to use a syntax that separates your macro from the content before and after it so that it's on a line by itself. For example in XWiki Syntax 2.0+ this means having 2 newline characters (a.k.a line breaks) separating your macro from the content before and after it.
   

5. If a template with runtime parameters is involved in the comparison, you can switch over to any other template dynamically.
   
   If the selected template contains runtime parameters, you are prompted to enter the runtime parameter values.
