Warnings in logs


This topic describes the warnings that you might see in the TrueSight Network Automation logs.

Warnings due to AdoptOpenJDK

TrueSight Network Automation version 20.02 and later uses AdoptOpenJDK 11.x. As a result, you might observe the warnings similar to the following in various logs such as installation, utility, or remote device agent logs. 

These warnings can safely be ignored and need not be reported to BMC customer support. 

WARNING: An illegal reflective access operation has occurred
WARNING: Illegal reflective access by org.bouncycastle.jcajce.provider.BouncyCastleFipsProvider$CoreSecureRandom (file:/opt/bmc/bca-networks-agent/installed/lib/bc-fips.jar) to method sun.security.jca.Providers.getSunProvider()
WARNING: Please consider reporting this to the maintainers of org.bouncycastle.jcajce.provider.BouncyCastleFipsProvider$CoreSecureRandom
WARNING: Use --illegal-access=warn to enable warnings of further illegal reflective access operations
WARNING: All illegal access operations will be denied in a future release

These warnings could appear for different classes of BouncyCastleFipsProvider or for other libraries as well.

Warnings due to oraclepki.jar file

You might observe the warnings similar to the following in the bca-networks.log file.

These warnings can safely be ignored and need not be reported to BMC customer support.

org.apache.tomcat.util.scan.StandardJarScanner processURLs
WARNING: Failed to scan file:/C:/Program%20Files/BMC%20Software/BCA-Networks/tomcat/lib/oraclepki.jar from classloader hierarchy
java.io.IOException: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
