Viewing the groups listing
Groups belong to a single realm. Realms are only exposed if your site has more than one realm defined. The Groups page shows a list of all static and auto-groups. Through the Group Filter page, you can filter the list of groups based on various group attributes. This topic describes how to view and filter the list of groups.
Viewing the list of groups
To view the list of groups, go to Network > Spans > Groups. By default, groups are sorted by Name. To sort on a different column, click the column heading.
You can view the group details by clicking its name. In addition to group details, you can view various links for actions and reports.
In the following figure, several realms have a device group named Contract Begin Date.Date because each realm has devices with Contract Begin Date. Users can only view groups in realms for which they have been granted access.
You can add to, filter, and refresh the group list. Also, you can create and mange views that display items based on your favorite filters. The Manage Rights option enables you to assign rights to a group.
Use the Actions icons to edit, copy, or delete a group.
Filtering the groups listing
On the Network > Spans > Groups page, do the following:
- Click the Filter menu option above the list of groups.
- Specify or select any of the following optional attributes:
- Name of the group
- List of groups created by the user (static groups)
- List of groups created by the system (auto groups). Show Auto Groups must be selected to select Show Empty Auto Groups.
- List of empty auto groups
- Click Save.
