Mapping for the BMC CMDB format
The import task maps the BMC Configuration Management Database (CMDB) fields to the device record as follows. The CMDB cannot be used as a primary import source because many of the required fields are not available. It is used as a secondary source to add the Business Services dynamic field and the instance ID information to the database.
The following CMDB classes are used for mapping:
- BMC_BaseRelationship
- BMC_BaseElement
- BMC_BusinessService
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
