Importing Cisco Data Center Services Node contents

  1. Unzip the contents of the import-export utility distribution located at <BCAN_INSTALL>\public\bmc\bca-networks\extras\bcan-import-export-v.r.mm.zip file to <BCAN_DATA>.

    This creates the following subdirectories:
    • <BCAN_DATA>\bcan-import-export\bin
    • <BCAN_DATA>\bcan-import-export\lib
  2. Import the content XML file by running the import.sh or import.bat script using the following parameters:

    import.sh -url http://MY_SERVER:MY_PORT -user MY_USER -password MY_PASSWORD
    <BCAN_DATA>/bcan-dsn-utility/data/dsn-content.xml

    or

    import.bat -url http://MY_SERVER:MY_PORT -user MY_USER -password MY_PASSWORD
    <BCAN_DATA>\bcan-dsn-utility\data\dsn-content.xml

The following list describes the variables used in the parameters:

    • MY_SERVER: TrueSight Network Automation application server
    • MY_PORT: HTTP port of the application server
    • MY_USER: Administrator user for Network Automation (for example, sysadmin)
    • MY_PASSWORD: Administrator password for the Network Automation user
  3. Verify in the console output that all the content has been imported successfully.
