Updates to Content

Additional rules and rule sets

Network Automation includes additional out-of-the-box CIS JunOS rule sets for the CIS compliance 2.1 of Juniper devices.

Updates to reverting configuration on the device by using SNMP v3

To make configuration changes on a device by using the SNMP protocol, use the new external script action, Revert Device Configuration Via SNMP v3 along with Revert Device Configuration Via SNMP v2. This action is useful if you are unable to connect to a device using Telnet or SSH.

Support for importing Security Advisories from NVD APIv2

Network Automation supports the import of security advisories for the following device types from the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) APIv2 repository:

  • Aruba
  • Cisco (Applicable for versions 20.02.01 and later)
  • Juniper
  • Extreme Networks
  • Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Aruba
  • Palo Alto

Support for upgrade and downgrade by using custom actions

You can use new custom actions can be used to upgrade or downgrade the OS images for the F5 BIG IP devices.

The following API calls are now available:

  • /token (POST, DELETE)
  • /sites (GET)
  • /realms (GET)
  • /realms/filtered (GET)
  • /devices (GET)

Miscellaneous enhancements

Extended purge timings for devices

The number of days to purge configurations is increased to 1827 days for the following device-related purging parameters in the Purging section for Realms:

  • Purge Offline Devices After
  • Purge Historical Configurations After

Updates to the Templates listing page

On the Template listing page, you can filter the listed templates based on the content count. The Content Count column displays the number of scripts in each template listed on the page.

Network Automation and Multi-Server Administration now support the following operating system:

This version of Network Automation is bundled with the following third-party software:

  • Apache Tomcat web server version 9.0.76


Upgrading

You can upgrade TrueSight Network Automation to version 23.2 from the following versions:

  • 22.4
  • 22.1
  • 21.08
  • 20.02.x

If you are upgrading the application server, you must also upgrade all the remote device agents to the same version as TrueSight Network Automation.
